Short S&P Oil and Gas Exploration (XOP) It’s hard to see anything positive about the oil and gas exploration sector from an investor’s perspective. The advent of shale drilling technologies in the U.S. is a true marvel of American ingenuity and resourcefulness. It’s a shame we have a President and feckless Congress who could care less about the thousands of jobs now threatened by the collapse in the price of crude oil. Instead Obama lobbies hard to allow Iran to export more oil while supporting a ban on U.S. producers to do the same. It’s illegal to export crude oil even though we are swimming in it.
