Does the new iPhone IOS remind you of Microsoft’s PowerPoint?

I’m not trying to find something to say about the iPhone. I just can’t help myself.  Apple is one of those things you seem to have to talk about.  Like your health, your job, or your lover you suspect is cheating on you.  I am not even pissed about the stock.  We blew out of Apple before the Friday open when it was in the green, then bought some back $7 bucks lower after the close.  Damn day traders.  That’s a shame because I despise day traders but there’s no denying it.   Apple has become a day trader’s form of self-expression.

No, there is  something that I must add to the mountain of comments about the new iPhone.

I had seen it somewhere before.  Like most everyone else I was dazzled how when you clicked on an iPhone icon it blew up and then came back down from seeming out of nowhere transitioning back to the screen.  How clever Johnny Ives is, I thought.  What a creative genius sir Johnny Ive is.  Then it dawned on me.  Hey, PowerPoint does the exact same thing except you can control it.    The entrance and exit effects of  Powerpoint must have been the inspiration for the new iPhone IOS.  After all it won’t be the first time Apple copied something Microsoft pioneered but just did it better.  Remember, Microsoft invented tablet computing long before the iPad.  They just didn’t do it right.

What’s so genius about Apple -and if anything- this is the true Steve Jobs legacy he imparted onto the DNA of the Company.  You don’t have to do everything but what you do do must be perfect.  And so far the new iPhone looks just about perfect except for one obvious thing.  The damn larger screen.  Come on, guys, give us the big screen!  Please I beg of you.  We are all hooked on the Apple crack but just need a little more screen real estate for these aging eyes.
