Dell is going down the tubes. Everyone knows that. Just look at the stock. It’s empirical, blunt, and definitive. Michael Dell has billions invested in the Company he founded. In order to save his fortune, he decides to take it private with SilverLake, a tech private equity firm. I guess the humiliation of watching your baby die in front of the world is greater than squandering a few extra $billion.
Then out of nowhere, people are now fighting over your business. Lenovo, even HP want to take a look. My God does anyone believe that HP would have a clue on what to do with Dell or even they would be interested? Now he’s got Carl Icahn fighting over Dell. How lucky can you get? Maybe he can cry don’t throw me into that briar patch all the way to the bank. Dell is a goner unless Windows 8 gains momentum and even then it’s a struggle. So maybe you won’t actually have to buy the rest of Dell stock, Mr. Dell. Someone else miraculously seems to want it. Maybe Microsoft will throw their hat in. At least that makes sense. We’ll see. I’m not buying
