Northeast Slammed by Blizzard  FEB 9, 2013 | A record-breaking winter storm pounded the northeastern U.S. yesterday, with hurricane-force winds, high water, and more than 3 feet of snow in some places. Travel bans were in effect, hundreds of thousands lost power, and at least nine are reported to have been killed. As New Englanders dig out and watch for potential flooding, here is a collection of photos of the wide-reaching effects of this monster blizzard. [28 photos]

Besides being some great and once in a lifetime photos above, this is sparking an idea. Obama is going to call for a renewed effort on renewables during Tuesday State of the Union address.  Combine that with the dreadful air quality of China in the last month and the buzz around solar, the following ETFs may get some speculative play: GEX, GWO, TAN, KWT,  PBW, PZD, PBD, ICLN, KWT, FAN,PWND.

Hard to believe there can be this many ETFs for such a small market sector.  That alone is proof of the bubble. I’ll have to do some more research on which if any SaxAngle Partners, will buy but if we do buy any, I’ll tweet about it and will not blog here. So follow us on Twitter  @saxangle if you are interested.   There is also one company that had some insider buying a while back but its way higher now.  I doubt if we’ll by any individual names but….never say never.

Has the green energy movement   burst completely and now is the time to buy?  I doubt it but there could be a speculative tradeable bounce.
