As you can see from this chart the ratio of insider selling to buying is hitting historic highs. The people that know their companies the best, the officers and directors, are selling stock at a rate not seen since 2007. Do they know something we don’t?
Yes they do. President Obama will win reelection and the capital gains tax will rise dramatically. Better to cash out now than face a certain tax hike in the near future.
